Empowering Women in Science and Innovation: Tianjin Binhai Women’s Federation Visits SINOFN Group

In May 2024, Yang Jing, Chairwoman of the Tianjin Binhai New Area Women’s Federation, visited SINOFN Group (Tianjin) Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. for an in‑depth inspection and exchange. She was accompanied by Wang Wenfang, Head of the Bonded Zone Mass Organization Work Department, Chairwoman of the General Trade Union, and Chairwoman of the Bonded Zone Women’s Federation.

The four‑member delegation explored the company’s initiatives in women’s scientific and technological innovation, project research and development, application of achievements, and talent cultivation — building a bridge to strengthen women’s innovative power within the enterprise.

Touring SINOFN’s Facilities

Chairwoman Yang and her team visited SINOFN’s R&D Center, production workshops, and live‑streaming base, gaining a detailed understanding of the company’s research capabilities, production processes, and product features.

Company leaders shared a comprehensive overview of SINOFN’s development journey, current operations, and innovation milestones. In the context of rapid digital transformation and the rise of e‑commerce live streaming, SINOFN has leveraged its technological and market strengths to create opportunities for women’s re‑employment and live‑streaming training — encouraging female entrepreneurship and supporting women’s career growth.

Dialogue and Recognition

Following the tour, Chairwoman Yang engaged in a warm discussion with Chairman Liu Guohong and female scientific and technological professionals at SINOFN. She praised the company’s practical measures in advancing women’s scientific innovation, applying research results, and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

About the Tianjin Binhai Women’s Federation

The Tianjin Binhai Women’s Federation traces its roots to the Tianjin Democratic Women’s Federation, founded on November 5, 1949, and renamed in 1957. As a mass organization under the Binhai New Area People’s Government, it is responsible for guiding women’s ideological and political work, safeguarding rights and interests, promoting family civility, and assisting disadvantaged groups.

In May 2021, the Federation was recognized as an Advanced Collective in Poverty Alleviation in Tianjin by the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, for its outstanding contributions to east‑west poverty alleviation cooperation and paired assistance programs. In December 2021, it was named a National Advanced Collective in the Women’s Federation System, and in 2023, it again received the Tianjin March 8th Red Banner Collective honor.

As of March 2025, under Chairwoman Yang Jing’s leadership, the Federation’s work spans key areas such as promoting women’s innovation and entrepreneurship, implementing women’s and children’s development plans, and providing specialized legal aid.

Strengthening Collaboration Between
Women’s Federations and Enterprises

This visit was a pragmatic initiative by the New Area Women’s Federation and the Bonded Zone Women’s Federation to actively support the growth of science and technology pharmaceutical enterprises. It extended the reach of their work, strengthened communication between women’s federations at all levels and enterprises, and provided strong support for the growth and development of female scientific and technological talent.

Looking ahead, SINOFN Group will continue to build platforms, create more opportunities, and tap into additional resources to contribute to the advancement of women in the Bonded Zone.

In October 2024, the Tianjin Binhai New Area established the Women’s Federation of the Live‑Streaming E‑Commerce Industrial Park.
