SINOFN (Tianjin) Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. Participates in Drafting the Edible Composite JIAOSU Standard
According to Announcement No. 7 of 2023 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the industry standard Edible Composite JIAOSU (QB/T 5760-2023), led by the China Bio-Fermentation Industry Association, was officially approved and implemented on November 1, 2023. The standard has now been formally published and released.

What is the Edible Composite JIAOSU Industry Standard?

— SINOFN Leads the Drafting Work, Guiding the Development of the Enzyme Industry
On December 3, 2020, the launch meeting and first drafting session for the Edible Composite JIAOSU industry standard was successfully held in Beijing. The meeting was chaired by Zhou Hailong, Vice Chairman of the China Bio-Fermentation Industry Association, with honorary chairman Shi Weichen delivering remarks.
As the lead drafting organization, SINOFN (Tianjin) Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. joined representatives from multiple research institutes and testing organizations. Ultimately, SINOFN was listed among the official drafting organizations of the standard.
At the meeting, Mr. Liu Hanmin, General Manager of SINOFN, reported on the progress of the standard-setting work. His proposals received strong recognition and support from the association and industry peers.
National Enzyme Research Center: A Foundation for Innovation
In 2019, the National Functional Enzyme Research Center was established at SINOFN. Supported by institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, specialized laboratories, and the China Bio-Fermentation Industry Association, the center has conducted in-depth research on enzymes for special populations. It pioneered the concept of “targeted functional enzymes”, giving enzymes both specificity and functionality.

What is the National Functional Enzyme Research Center?
On June 23, 2019, the inauguration ceremony of the National Enzyme Research Center and the first Eco-Industry Integration Development Forum were held at East China University of Science and Technology. The event was hosted by the Enzyme Branch of the China Bio-Fermentation Industry Association and organized by the university’s Luhua Biotechnology Research Institute.
The ceremony was attended by leading figures including Academician Qian Feng, Vice President of East China University of Science and Technology; Shi Weichen, Chairman of the China Bio-Fermentation Industry Association; Chen Jihua, Deputy Director of the Radio Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; and other distinguished experts and scholars. Over 200 representatives from academia, research institutions, and enterprises participated.
Academician Qian emphasized that establishing the National Enzyme Research Center is of great significance for systematic enzyme research, strategic bio-industry development, and the advancement of “Healthy China” and “Beautiful China.”

The forum featured keynote reports on intelligent biomanufacturing, enzyme-based innovation, and the integration of artificial intelligence with process manufacturing. Experts highlighted the enzyme industry’s potential as a growth driver in biomanufacturing and its role in ecological industrial development.
Mr. Liu Hanmin, Deputy Director of the SINOFN–CAS Joint Laboratory for Medical Food, also presented insights on the role of medical enzymes in the future health industry, emphasizing the importance of big data and healthcare integration.

Conclusion
